We recently booked a trip to Lightwater Valley through Day Out With The Kids, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. I can't recommend it enough, especially for families with children of all ages. Booking Experience: Day Out With The Kids made the whole process so easy. Their website was clear, quick to navigate, and they even offered a really good discount on the entry tickets, which made it much more affordable for our group of five. The booking confirmation came through straight away via email, with full instructions and helpful tips for our visit. It took all the stress out of planning. Arrival and Customer Service: When we arrived at Lightwater Valley, the entry process was fast and very well organised. Staff at the gate were polite, welcoming, and happy to answer questions about the park. Throughout the day, every member of staff we encountered — whether at rides, food stalls, or information points — was friendly and helpful, especially with the younger children in our group. Park Experience: The park itself is well designed and easy to navigate, with plenty of signposts and maps around. There’s a fantastic mix of rides: For little ones, there are gentle rides like the Ladybird Rollercoaster, mini ferris wheels, and a brilliant indoor soft play area. For older kids and adults, there are more thrilling rides like The Eagle’s Claw and the Twister. We also loved the Dinosaur Discovery Trail and the mini farm area, which added a lovely relaxed element between rides. Queues were very reasonable (we never waited longer than 15 minutes for anything) and the rides were running smoothly, with safety being clearly a top priority. Food and Facilities: There were lots of food options, although like most theme parks, prices were slightly on the expensive side. However, there are also many picnic benches dotted around the park, so bringing your own food is a great alternative. Toilets were clean and well maintained, and there were plenty available across the park, which made a big difference with kids. Refunds and Returns: Luckily, we didn’t need to cancel or ask for a refund, but based on how smoothly everything went with the booking and the professional feel of the service, I feel confident it would have been handled quickly and fairly if needed. The communication from Day Out With The Kids was excellent both before and after the trip. Overall Impression: Day Out With The Kids made this trip stress-free, budget-friendly, and genuinely enjoyable. Lightwater Valley offered a perfect day out with just the right balance of excitement and relaxation. We came away with wonderful memories, and we’ll definitely be booking through Day Out With The Kids again for future adventures. Five Stars — Highly Recommonded
